Upgrade Umbraco version from 4.7.1 to 6.0.1

To upgrade from a old version to new version is pretty straight forward. I have upgraded one my projects where I followed the steps below - Download the Umbraco 6.0.1 Take a backup of your current site and the database Copy the following folder and files from the downloaded new version 6.0.1 and paste into the old version /App-Plugins /bin /install /Umbraco /Umbraco-Client /Config /Views /Global.asax /web.config 4. Before copying web.config make sure all of your settings are transferred to the new web.config file e.g. appsettings 5. With the help of Dsofile.dll provided by Microsoft, you can easily modify properties of a document when Microsoft Office is not installed in the machine.
